(5/5) "I've always had weird ways of coping with things. I don't really drink ever. I don't smoke, I don't do drugs. I don't drink caffeine. I don't have traditional vices but sugar… I LOVE ice cream. It was always just my go-to thing. I'm really stressed? I'm gonna eat ice cream. And then I found out I'm very allergic to dairy, gluten, and refined sugar. I thought, 'This is probably good, I need to find a different way to cope,' and that coping mechanism has become climbing. Which I'm very, very, very grateful for. It's making me a better person. . I'm really grateful for the Junction community and the magical people that I've met through Junction. Knowing that these people have had such a lovely impact on me and have helped me grow and be a better person. Being connected to the community in Old East and having all of this community makes London home for me. Between the Root Cellar, the farm non-profit [Urban Roots], the frelance and consulting work that I do, I don't have a lot of free time. So having a space where I can still see my friends but still feel like I'm being productive is really important to me. So I socialize here. I've fostered so many great friendships here or at the Root Cellar. Having this community of people who also care so much about the community that we exist in is a really incredible thing and I'm very grateful for it." . . . #HumansofJunction #junctionclimbing @rootcellarldn #climbingcommunity #icecream #stressrelief #allergies #oldeastvillage #urbanfarming @urbanrootslondon #junctioncommunity #realstories #membermoments #memberappreciation #indoorclimbing #climbinggym #ldnont #oevldn
