The city of London is jammed packed with things to year round. Enjoying the great outdoors is part of what makes living in Canada and London so great. With activities for every season, there is always a chance to get out and get active. Here is a handful of outdoor activities you and your family will want to try!
Boler Mountain has activities for families year round. In the summer months enjoy treetop adventures, which includes a rope course, swinging bridges, tarzan swings and pirate nets. The Big Zip ride is the 1100 foot tandem zip line. Boler Mountain has 120 acres of property and some of the best cross country trails in Ontario. Mountain Bike season opens in May and offers a beginner loop and an advanced loop. There are also some great walking trails. In the winter season, skiing, snowboarding and tubing are offered. Their tube park has 3 tube runs that are 10 stories high! You can reach speeds up to 70km/hr.

Fanshawe Conservation Area
Fanshawe Conservation Area has so much to offer. Enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, biking, canoeing and more! The park has a 20km biking/hiking trail around the park. Rent one of their canoes and spend a day cruising on the lake or cool off in the pool. Fanshawe Conservation Area is home to the Pioneer Village, and also has special events throughout the year.

If you are looking for a place to play, East Park is the place to go. They offer Go Karts, Batting Cages, Mini Golf, Driving Range, Golf and a Waterpark. The waterpark is one of the biggest in London. The park has 7 waterslides and a single and double tube. The mat slides has 2 speeds including the famous 55’ high bullet slide. East Park also has a wave pool with a shallow entrance so children of all ages can play. If getting wet doesn’t appeal to you, hang out at the Tiki Bar patio and enjoy a cool beverage.

Victoria Park is an 18 acres park that is nestled in the heart of downtown London. It is one of the major centres for community events. It is a great place to take a break or go for a stroll. Grab a nice lunch from one of the great restaurants in the area and enjoy a picnic. There are plenty of benches for you to relax and listen to the sounds of nature.

Storybook Gardens is a family-friendly park. It features nursery rhyme themed rides and attractions. Storybook Gardens is open all year around. In the summer, cool down in the large splash pads that includes a slide. Jump of the giant pillow or climb through a pirates ship. There are amusement rides, such as the carousel, Ferris wheel and swings. Storybook Gardens as a spooky village that is haunted Halloween fun for kids and their families. In the winter months skate through the “streets” of Storybook Gardens. Afterwards, warm up with a cup of hot cocoa.
