Things to do in London, Ontario in May 2019

With the promise of warmer weather, Victoria Day weekend and Mother’s Day, this May is gearing up to be a great one. There are plenty of activities and celebrations in and around London going on this May and you won’t want to miss them! Get out with friends and family and enjoy spring in full swing.

May 5, 2019 – Stars on Ice! Though winter is behind us, you will want to get close to the ice to catch this magical performance by some of Canada’s great Olympic skaters. Elvis Stojko, Meagan Duhamel & Eric Radford and Kaitlyn Weaver & Andrew Poje are just some of the names you’ll see! Show begins at 4:00pm and ticket information can be found at starsonice.ca

May 5, 2019 – 17th Annual Forest City Music Awards Gala is being hosted at the London Music Hall. If you are passionate about local talent and music then this is a “can’t miss” event. Some of London and Ontario’s most talented bands and artists are up for awards this year and coupled with great live performances, this show will be any music lovers dream. The event is from 6:00 – 10:00 pm. Donations appreciated.

May 4 & 5, 2019  – If you are looking to have a day out with the family, you will want to check out the Longwood Heritage Weekend. Hosted at the Longwoods Road Conservation Area/Ska-Nah-Doht Village, this event will transport you back in time as you witness the British troops attack the American invaders. May 11, 2019 – MAMMA MIA! The Grande Theater is finishing up performances of mamma mia until May 11. Enjoy your favourite ABBA songs, along with dancing all set against a beautiful Greece backdrop. Show availability and times to be found online.

May 11, 2019 – Who doesn’t love a good ol’ Canadian Caesar? Well, then you will want to get to the Great Canadian Caesar Fest held at the London Convention Centre. This 19 + event is dedicated to our national cocktail and will have free samples, live draws, live entertainment and of course all things Caesar. Tickets are $20.00 in advance or $25.00 at the door.

May 26, 2019 – Broadway is coming to London! “Broadway presents: Kinky Boots” is being held at Budweiser Gardens and it’s a show you won’t want to miss! Enjoy all the fun and music of a Broadway show right in our own city. Kinky Boots won the 2013 Tony Award for best musical. Tickets to be purchased online.
