London is a great place to be if you are looking for something fun to do with your families over march break. Most of the local schools are closed between March 13th and March 17th but there are plenty of fun activities and events set up all over the city so you don’t have to worry about your kids getting the winter blues. Let’s take a look at a few of the fantastic things to do with the family around London Ontario during March Break.

London is always full of great activities all around the city and many of them are geared toward families. March Break is a fun time for kids but some parents might not be able to take the time off for the entire week so we’ll mention a few fun activities that can be done throughout the week but we’ll also talk about some of the amazing day camps that are being hosted for kids. These day camps are a fantastic choice for working parents and they are available for kids of all ages and interests.

Family Friendly Performances

1) Blippi Live- Budweiser Gardens

If you have little kids in your family, then you probably know quite a bit about this blue and orange dressed fellow that has been teaching kids their shapes, colours and catchy songs for years now. Blippi has taken his tour worldwide, and he’s coming to London on March 14th at Budweiser gardens. Tickets are available online, and they are selling fast, so make sure you get yours as soon as possible to ensure you get the best seats you can.

This is a great choice for anyone that has smaller toddlers but the show runs in the evening from 6 pm-8 pm so make sure you plan your nap times accordingly. The tour features a Blippi performer that will be singing many of his biggest hits and kids will love to see some of their favourite Youtube hits in person. This is sure to be one of the most popular family activities in London Ontario over March Break.

2) Ricky the Magician Magic Show- Covent Garden Market

If you want to impress the kids with a little razzle-dazzle then check out this great magic show that’s being presented on March 14th between 11 am and 12 pm. Ricky has been perfecting his craft for 25 years so it’s sure to be a great show full of amazing illusions. The cost is free and this show is being hosted at the Covent Garden Market so this is the perfect thing to consider if you want to get a little bit of shopping done.

3) Dotsy the Clown- Covent Garden Market

Dotsy is a local favourite that has entertained the little ones of Southwestern Ontario for years. Her energetic and bubbly show is coming to the Covent Garden Market on March 15th between 11 am and 1 pm. You can bring the kids to experience balloon animals, fantastic face painting and their incredible bouncy house. This is a fun experience for kids of all ages and it’s one of the best things to do with the family over March Break in 2023.

4) Camp Rock the Musical- Original Kids Theater Company at Covent Garden Market

This incredible theatre group has chosen a great production to put on during March Break that is perfect for kids. Camp Rock: The Musical, is a combination of songs from the popular Camp Rock franchise from Disney and it’s been combined with a great story that is sure to be a hit with the teens or tweens in your life. There are evening shows throughout the week and tickets can be purchased through the Original Kids Theater website.

5) London Knights vs Kitchener Rangers- Budweiser Gardens

The hometown hockey heroes are set to take on their rivals on March 17th at Budweiser Gardens. This is a great chance to catch one of London Ontario’s best sports teams with your friends and family. The game is set to start at 7 pm and tickets are available online so make sure you grab yours today before they are all sold out.

March Break Camps

6) March Break Camp- Aerosports London

If you want to make sure your kids are nice and tired when they come home, try checking out the amazing march break camp that is hosted at Aerosports London. This full-day camp is for kids ages 6-12 and it features a wide variety of different activities that they can participate in. There will be Ultimate dodgeball, age-based exercises, crafts and other fun activities all week long.

Lunch and snacks will be provided for the kids and the cost varies from $50-$65 per day with a full week costing $300. This is a great experience for kids to get to play with other children their age in a fun environment that will surely leave them tuckered out by the end of the day. If you find your kids bouncing off the walls on a daily basis then this is one of the best places to consider if you are looking for a day camp.

7) Kids March Break Art Camp – For the Love of Art in Westmount Shopping Center

If you have a budding Picasso in your life, have a look at the amazing March Break camp being hosted at For the Love of Art. The camp will be running through a wide variety of art styles such as sculpture, painting and drawing so there is something for everyone to enjoy. The program runs between 9 am and 3:30 pm but there is before and after care for those that need it for an extra fee.

The cost for the camp is $60 per day or $290 per week and the groups will be playing outdoors so make sure you provide your kids with sunscreen and warm clothing. Kids ages 6-12 are welcome and they will be provided with multiple art activities to do every day that are based on their age level. This is a fantastic choice for anyone that wants a great day camp for their creative kids.

8) Archeology March Break Day Camp- Museum of Archeology Ontario

Dinosaurs and fossils are fascinating to most kids so why not give them a chance to learn a bit more about them at the archeology March break day camp? The camp is available for kids aged 6-12 and it runs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on March 13th-17th. There will be plenty of amazing activities for kids and the theme of this year’s camp is Archeology Around the World.

The cost for the camp is $195 for the week and there are no day-to-day rates available. You should also make sure to get your spot as soon as you can because space is limited. If you have a kid in your life that is always digging in the dirt and asking to watch Jurassic Park, this camp is an excellent option.
